LFW Monday’s Recap

Text: Danai Alaska-OZON’s editor in chief

Michael Van Der Ham

The first show of the day was Michael Van Der Ham at the TS venue at the Old Euro Star station in Waterloo. The collection was inspired by Joseph Szabo’s photography and his vision of adolescence. Van Der Ham’s mix of bright colours and his signature collage prints gave a dreamy angle to the notion of the teenage angst, a perfect kick to start off the day!

Mark Fast

One of the sexiest collections so far, dedicated to women who desire. His hand-woven knitwear stretched as the bodies moved revealing bits of flesh. This season Mark Fast was inspired by desert mirages, embracing sand tones and creating a beautiful effect as the pastel colours faded into black.

Todd Lynn

Calmness after chaos. That was the central idea to the Todd Lynn s/s12 collection. Leathers, silk and metal pins, clothes with raw edges and pale tones that made perfect sense to the designer’s vision of a reconstructed world.
